Lighting number sparklers – the right way to do it:

Many instinctively reach for matches or a regular lighter — but that can bring more frustration than sparkle.
They often don’t light properly or get too hot themselves before the sparkler takes off.

Avoid:

❌ Matches – burn too quickly and do not get hot enough

❌ Small lighters – get too hot themselves and are cumbersome to use.

Our recommendation:

✔️ Stick lighter or

✔️ Small kitchen torch (glow torch, Bunsen burner) – fits well in the hand and delivers precise heat

⏳ Be patient – that’s important!

Hold the flame steady and directly on the same spot on the sparkler. It may take a few seconds for toi to fully ignite.

This is completely normal – and even intended.

⚠️ One more note on safety:

When burning the sparklers, sparks or small ash particles may fall onto the cake. If you want to avoid this, light the sparklers next to the cake, e.g. in a glass or solid holder, or place a small piece of baking paper under the sparklers to protect your cake.

🍰 Important when choosing a cake:

Our sparklers need some depth for insertion.
Please do not use with flat cakes such as pear tarts – they lack the necessary support.

So that we can put the numbers on the cake in the correct order, simply write your desired number (e.g. 34 or 43) in the “Order note” field at checkout. In the end, everything will look exactly how you want it!
